Do you charge a call-out fee?
Yes — $55 weekdays (Mon–Fri 7am–5pm), $185 weekends (Sat & Sun 7am–5pm), and $275 after-hours and public holidays. It covers fuel, the van, and our plumber's time getting to you. Only the $55 weekday call-out comes off the invoice if you go ahead with the job. If you decide not to proceed after seeing the quote, you only pay the call-out and we leave. No pressure, no hard sell.
How quickly can you actually get here?
Genuine emergencies in Melbourne's eastern suburbs — burst pipe, no water, sewage backing up — usually within the hour. Standard jobs are same-day or first thing next morning. If we're slammed and can't get to you fast enough, we'll say so straight up so you can ring someone else, instead of having you wait around all day.
Can the price actually change after you start?
Only if something genuinely changes — and only after we've stopped, shown you, and you've said yes to a new fixed price. We don't just keep going and add it to the bill. We pause, show you the problem, give you a written variation, and you decide. If you say no, you only pay for what was originally quoted. No silent extras. Ever.
